Project Camaro Z28 (1993)

When I bought my 1993 Z28 Camaro, it didn’t have an engine. Instead of giving up, I rebuilt one using a Buick Roadmaster block from a scrapyard.

The process taught me organization and patience as I balanced work, school, and long nights in the garage. After three months, the engine was fully assembled and installed.

The car initially shut off after 30 seconds due to a faulty anti-theft system, but once fixed, it ran properly. I completed additional wiring and replaced key components to ensure reliability.

What started as a car without an engine became a lesson in problem-solving, persistence, and bringing something broken back to life.

Metal Fabrication

Metal fabrication taught me precision and discipline. I’m certified in multiple welding types and positions, with TIG as my preferred method because it demands steady hands and focus.

After each weld, I clean the bead, inspect for defects, and measure to ensure it meets specifications. At Wedco Fabricating, I welded large lawn mower decks, using crane equipment to position heavy components where accuracy and teamwork were essential.

Each weld reinforced the importance of consistency, attention to detail, and pride in doing the job right.

Project 1990 Mustang

The Mustang project began at a pick-and-pull yard in Kansas City, where I found a 1990s Crown Victoria engine with untapped potential. I brought it home to give my 1990 Mustang GT a second life.

I tore the engine down, replaced the pistons, sourced missing exhaust manifolds, and installed a new wiring harness. I then paired the engine with a six-speed manual transmission, turning a scrapyard motor into a performance setup.

While preparing the Mustang, I replaced the steering rack and completed wiring, spending countless hours under the car.

Project 1990 Mustang was more than an engine swap it was a lesson in patience, problem-solving, and building something unique from the ground up.

Hail Damage Repair

The project began after a hailstorm and a hit-and-run left my Charger damaged. Instead of taking it to a shop, I chose to fix it myself.

I worked patiently, pulling dents, reshaping metal, and stepping back when frustration set in. Slowly, the damage faded and the car began to look whole again.

The finished Charger wasn’t just repaired it represented growth, focus, and perseverance. What could have been a setback became motivation, reinforcing that challenges don’t define us; how we respond does.
